8. Method (2015)
TV series "Method“With Konstantin Khabensky and Paulina Andreeva in the lead roles is probably the best thing that was shot for Russian TV in recent years (it’s not for nothing that Netflix bought the right to broadcast in 2017).
The plot tells about Rodion Meglin - a brilliant detective who is engaged in the capture of serial killers and maniacs (Paulina plays his assistant and student). The secret of his method is that Meghlin himself is still a psycho, one step away from schizophrenia. By no means does he transfer all the criminals caught to justice: most often, he himself passes the death sentence.
The protagonists of the series were real Russian, Ukrainian and Soviet killers: Anatoly Onoprienko (52 victims, including children), Anatoly Sedykh (12 victims), Gennady Mikhasevich (36 proven victims, 43 according to Mikhasevich) and others.
The creators, by the way, do not deny that they drew inspiration from the "True Detective." In the fall of 2019, the second season will be released in which Khabensky will return to his role, so it's worth waiting for the series, at least because of it.
7. Hannibal (2013)
«Hannibal"Is an American thriller series developed by Brian Fuller for NBC. Lecter is a forensic psychiatrist who is destined to become Graham's most insidious enemy and at the same time the only person who can understand him. He is fascinated by Graham’s ability to empathize with the killers and is trying to push the boundaries of Graham’s fragile conscious to turn him into a killer.
Of course, Hannibal performed by Mikkelsen is not the same as Anthony Hopkins, but Mads does an excellent job. The process of cooking looks especially spectacular: with the mind the viewer understands that Lecter is preparing a human hand, but the appetite wakes up anyway, it is so “tasty” here.
